Help Record Trawsfynydd Site’s History

As part of the decommissioning work at Trawsfynydd Site, Magnox is looking at the legacy which will be left in the community after the site has gone.

Magnox has organised a unique event to record the history of the site and recognise the cultural impact it has had on North Wales. This is an opportunity for you to tell us your stories and share your memories of Trawsfynydd site through any pictures, artefacts or tales you have collected over the years. This event will be held in our Conference and Induction Centre over two days and you are welcome to join us:

  • Thursday 26th July between 13:00 - 19:00
  • Friday 27th July between 10:00 - 16:00

As you leave the main A470 there is a visitor’s car park a short drive down the main access road on the right hand side. The conference and induction centre is only a short walk up towards the main site, which is clearly sign posted.

Please remember to bring any interesting photographs, documents or artefacts so we can scan them for a digital archive which will record the history of the site. There will be facilities at the event record informal discussions and interviews, allowing us to preserve your recollections in the digital archive.

If you have any questions about this event please or would like further details about the steps being taken to preserve Trawsfynydd Site’s heritage, then please contact trawsfynydd.communications@magnoxsites.com or telephone 01766 543384.
