Summary of IRX Safety Case - Wylfa Site
The safety case for Inter-Reactor fuel transfer (IRX) justifies the transfer of low irradiation fuel from Reactor 2 (which has now been permanently shut down) to Reactor 1 (which will continue to operate at power and therefore generate electricity)at Wylfa Site.
Technical Baseline and Underpinning Research and Development (TBuRD)
These documents describe the technical approaches that are employed, or that are currently being developed, by Magnox in order to safely decommission its sites. This includes the decommissioning of structures and facilities, and the management of waste and land contamination. Where approaches are under development, the TBuRD identifies the research and development requirements that are required to implement the approach.
